OPIE started over a catch-up. Madeleine and Soha met through mutual friends at Chapman University, ran in the same circles, took the same classes… but it wasn't until they were both freelancing post-grad that things clicked. Madeleine was deep in the creative side - brand identity, design, visual direction. Soha was building out strategy, social media, and technical marketing work. One conversation and they realized: they were solving the same problem from opposite ends.
In September 2024, they made it official. The name comes from Calliope, the Greek muse of eloquence and art. OPIE is a nod to that legacy with a fresh twist: classic craft meets modern energy. Because we believe every practice doing meaningful work deserves a brand that feels intentional, considered, and unmistakably theirs.
We've seen it from the inside. Marketing is the first thing to slide when the real work piles up, and it's one of the hardest things to do for yourself. OPIE exists so you don't have to. We built a system structured enough to deliver consistently, and flexible enough that every client feels like the only client.
